Menopause Support – World Menopause Day

World Menopause Day, 18th October

Menopause is a natural life stage that usually impacts women between the ages of 45-55, but it can also affect men, relationships, families and workplaces.

While the menopausal transition is different for everyone, there are several common yet challenging symptoms that may be experienced, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • Memory problems / ‘brain fog’
  • Palpitations
  • Hot flashes
  • Chills
  • Joint stiffness
  • Sleep problems
Managing the symptoms of menopause

If you’re struggling with menopause symptoms, here are a few small tweaks that can make a big difference to your health, comfort and happiness:

  • Stay hydrated: Drink water to manage hot flashes and energy levels
  • Wear layers: Dress in breathable, layered clothing that you can adjust to manage temperature changes
  • Take breaks: Step away to reduce stress and fatigue
  • Speak up: Share your needs for support or adjustments with your manager at work
  • Practise self-care: Use breathing or stretching techniques to stay emotionally and physically balanced
