Getting Advice and Getting Help

Resources providing information for Children and Young People (CYP) and their families

Welcome to our Neurodiversity information page.  This is a guide to help find support, information and resources for children, young people and families.

Within this site, we have included a variety of information, not just about neurodiversity, but also to help with everyday living. There are a range resources, videos and information in your local area, as well as those that are available nationally.

If you need urgent help, please call 111 and select the mental health option, or ring 999 if it is an emergency.

One Devon Integrated Care Board (ICB) is committed to the 3 ‘I’s’ (Inclusion, Identification and Integration) Improvement Strategy to help work towards achieving the Parent Carer Neurodiversity Expert Reference Group vision and principles.

We have used the i-THRIVE model, which is nationally recognised and helps describe support available.

More information on the 3 ‘I’s’ Improvement Strategy, Parent Carer Neurodiversity Expert Reference Group vision and principles and the i-THRIVE model can be found below.

Thriving wheel

The i-THRIVE model approach recognises everybody is an individual with strengths and needs unique to them and helps identify the right support at the right time.

Information on this website has been categorised into:

  • Getting advice – information available in the green sections.
  • Getting help – information available in the blue sections.
  • Getting more help – information available in the purple/red sections.
  • Getting urgent help – information available in the orange section.

The i-THRIVE wheel shows how the framework brings together the different areas and you can get support from any section within the wheel.

Find out more about the THRIVE Framework for system change (Wolpert et al., 2019) through this animation.

Co-produced by National i-THRIVE Programme, The Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust Patient and Public Involvement Team, The Anna Freud National Centre for Children & Families Young Champions, and Mummu.
