Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) – Pathway for Neurodiversity

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) have developed a pathway that helps children and young people in Devon (excluding Plymouth) with neurodevelopmental conditions such as:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), where the young person has co-occurring mental health needs
• Tics and Tourette’s Syndrome, where the young person has co-occurring mental health needs

This may be to provide an assessment of those conditions or specialist evidence-based interventions.

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – Community Child Health (including ADHD Referral Pathway)

The Community Paediatric Team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Trust provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing medical care for children with neurodisabilty, and neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition to medical input relating to children in care and safeguarding. This involves working in partnership with other professionals, as well as schools and social services.

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust – Child Development Centre

The Child Development Centre provides assessment pathways for children and young people who may have a neurodevelopmental condition(s) including Autism, both in Early Years (for Plymouth and South Devon) and school-age (Plymouth only) and ADHD. This is in addition to the Community Paediatrics Team providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing medical care for children with neurodisability, and medical input relating to children in care and safeguarding.

Pathways are designed to provide holistic and tailored support to meet the diverse needs of children and young people in Plymouth.
